Yes. Odobase’s Starter plan is free for as long as you stay within its limits: up to 5 vehicles, 5 drivers, 2 team members and 1 branch. It is the full software with every module switched on, not a trial. It runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to download, and no card is needed to sign up.

What does the free plan include?
Everything the paid plans have. Plans differ only in how many vehicles, drivers, team members and branches you run, so a company on Starter uses the same software as one on Business:
- Trips and dispatch, with a check that refuses to put a car or driver in two places at once
- Self-drive hire, with handover and return, overtime and extra distance
- The driver app on Android and iPhone, and live trip tracking
- Invoicing and accounting, from completed trips to profit and loss
- Vehicles and maintenance and recurring trips
- Price lists, an online booking form, a trip tracking link for passengers and a customer portal
Who is free car rental software for?

Is there a free car rental software download?
No download is needed. Odobase runs in a web browser on Windows, Mac, Linux or a tablet, so the office signs in at fleet.odobase.com from any computer, and your records are kept online rather than on one machine. The only thing to install is the free Odobase Driver app on your drivers’ phones, from Google Play or the App Store.
What happens when you outgrow the free plan?
Odobase shows how much of each limit you are using, so you see the limit coming. When you add a sixth vehicle or a second branch, move to Growth or Business from the billing page in your dashboard. Every trip, invoice and customer you entered stays where it is. Compare the limits and prices on the pricing page.
Is free software better than a spreadsheet?
For more than a couple of cars, usually yes. A spreadsheet holds bookings, but it does not stop two people from promising the same car, and it does not turn a finished rental into an invoice. Frequently asked questions
Is the free plan a trial that ends?
No. Starter is a plan, not a trial. You can stay on it for as long as your fleet fits its limits, and you move to a paid plan only when you need more vehicles, drivers, team members or branches.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Sign up with your email address or a Google account and start adding vehicles straight away. No payment details are asked for on Starter.
Is there free software for chauffeur, NCC or VTC companies too?
Yes. The same free plan covers chauffeured trips, airport transfers and price lists, so a small chauffeur or limousine business can run on it as well as a rental agency.
Can I use Odobase on Windows or a Mac?
Yes. The office dashboard runs in any modern web browser, so it works on Windows, Mac and Linux computers and on tablets, with nothing to install.
Which languages does Odobase speak?
The dashboard speaks English, Spanish, French, Italian, Arabic and Urdu, with right-to-left layouts for Arabic and Urdu. Each person can switch language from the dashboard.
