GestiRent is Italian rental management software for cars, vans and equipment, with contracts, digital signatures, online booking, fines and CaRGOS reporting, from 99 euros a month for up to 5 vehicles. Odobase is an alternative for rental companies that also run chauffeured trips, want a free plan, or work in several languages. It has no CaRGOS, online payments or SdI invoicing.
If you run a car rental business in Italy, GestiRent is one of the established names. It covers the whole rental contract, from booking to return, with features built for Italian rules. Odobase is an alternative used by rental, chauffeur and passenger transport companies in several countries. What is GestiRent?
GestiRent presents itself on gestirent.it as “il gestionale del noleggio n° 1 in Italia”. It is cloud software with a daily backup, for renting cars with or without a driver, vans, boats, scooters and construction equipment, with a version for NCC companies and one for trucks. Its website lists:
- rental contracts with damage management and digital signature by OTP
- online booking for your website, online check-in and a virtual POS for payments
- fines, maintenance, insurance and deadlines
- submission of rental data to CaRGOS, the Italian police system
- SMS, a calendar, reports, and GPS and telematics integrations
- a light app for Android and iOS, and a separate accounting module
It is made by Gestiworld srl in Prato, and the website is in Italian, with English pages.
How much does GestiRent cost?
GestiRent’s pricing page gives a starting price of 99 euros a month for up to 5 vehicles, rising with the number of vehicles. The full price list is on request. There is no minimum term, setup and online training are included, and a free trial is offered without commitment. There is no free plan.

Who is GestiRent for?
GestiRent suits an Italian rental company that wants the full contract cycle in one Italian tool: signed contracts, online payments, fines and CaRGOS reporting. If those requirements come first, it is designed for them, and Odobase does not cover them.
Who is Odobase for?
Odobase suits a rental company that also runs cars with drivers, wants to start free, or works in more than one language. Self-drive hires and chauffeured trips share one availability check, a hired car stays blocked until it is actually returned, and overtime and extra distance are worked out at return. How should you choose?
Try both with a week of real bookings. Check how quickly your counter staff can hand a car over and take it back, whether the paperwork matches what the law asks of you, and how pricing grows with your fleet. For an Italian rental company that must report to CaRGOS, take card payments online or issue the fattura elettronica through the SdI, those requirements decide it, and GestiRent covers them where Odobase does not.
