# Delete your Odobase account

> How to delete your Odobase account and the data that belongs to it, what is removed, what is kept by law, and how long it takes.

How to close an Odobase account and have its data deleted, from the web dashboard or the **Odobase Fleet** app.

## In short

Email info@odobase.com from the address you sign in with and ask for your account to be deleted. We confirm the request by email and complete it within 30 days. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.

## 1. Ask for deletion

Send an email to [info@odobase.com](mailto:info@odobase.com?subject=Delete%20my%20Odobase%20account) **from the email address you sign in with**, with the subject “Delete my Odobase account”. Say whether you want to delete:

- **your own user login** — you stop having access, and the company you work for keeps its fleet records; or
- **the whole company account** — only the account owner can ask for this, and it removes every user, vehicle, driver, customer, trip, hire and invoice in it.

We reply to confirm we have the request, and we may ask you to confirm it from the same address before anything is removed. Deletion is completed within 30 days of that confirmation.

## 2. What is deleted

Deleting a user login removes your name, email address, phone number, profile photo, sign-in methods (password, Sign in with Apple, Google) and every session and device registered for notifications.

Deleting a company account also removes all the data stored in it: vehicles, drivers, customers, trips, hires, expenses, maintenance records, photos and documents.

## 3. What we have to keep

Where the law requires us to keep a record — subscription invoices and payment records in particular — we keep that record for the period required, stripped of anything not needed for that purpose. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle and are not restored except to recover from a failure.

## 4. Deleting the app is not deleting the account

Removing the Odobase Fleet app from your phone signs you out on that phone only. Your account and its data stay on our servers until you ask for deletion as described above.
